Lazing ...

Spent nearly an hour looking for a brand new template for my blog. Funny how you never seem to find what you are looking for - A good, clean template with not too many flashy colours, readable text and support for widgets. A friend of mine who consistently blogs suggest I make my own template, to suit my own needs. Although it sounds a fine idea at first, I know how painful it is to make a template from scratch. I've have my pain-in-the-ass sessions while I was the webmaster for quarter-a-dozen websites on campus. The experience has taught me a lot. One of the most important lessons was - Don't care to mess around if someone has already done the dirty work for you. [Incidentally, this also happens to be a rather cool property of Object Oriented Programming]

There are times when you wish there was someone around to tell you what to do. I have spent over a week at home and have done more or less zero contructive work. Picked up a couple of novels, of course, from the RC before I headed here [Which reminds me, one of them is long overdue and I will have to pay ten bucks when I get back to college].

One of them was a Wodehouse, so I was assured of its quality. "Love among the chickens" read the cover. A typical Wodehouse - hillarious plot, splendid language - but I missed the inimitable Jeeves in the book. The other book was "Headcrash", supposedly the funniest science fiction book after "The hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". The book was funny enough, though I felt there should have been other titles written to compete for the "second funniest" tag. The third was "Benhur" and I regret carrying the book along. Yes, it is a classic and all that, but the book bored me to the hilt. It is written not quite for the casual reader, but for those who might chose to waste their lives between leaves of papyrus.

I have been keeping an eye on a few popular blogs (a jealous eye) and hoping to pick up tips. THE TIP however, remains consistentcy, which I feel I can never achieve whilst I am been chased up trees by my schedules.

Tee-da-taa-dee-dum
(Hmm, that somehow sounded better than the CL 'anthem', didn't it?)

Funny how people around me are able to kill time. Pratz is fooling around with his new studymate. Reems is having fun with lions and the like. RJ is busy running away from people who wish to take him to the GIR, Axn is trying his best to get a crowd heading for the same. My best wishes to both of them in their respective quests.

Will sign back in when I feel I have something to report.
